The Dining Room

The first step in the transformation of the dining room was to paint a base coat color over the white walls and ceiling.  Then Cathy applied a color wash over the walls with a vertical bias to it.  After that she created a stencil pattern and applied that pattern to the walls by emphasizing different areas of the pattern with each application of it.  Then as a last step she went over the walls again with another color wash.

In the last photo you can see the gold ceiling Cathy created by using a deep gold metallic paint.
